Cassidy Marcinko is Beemac Logistics’ first Client Solutions Leader. But who was she before she became a part of the leadership team?
Cassidy grew up in Beaver Falls, PA and attended college at Malone University. Landing her first job in sales after college, she realized that she enjoyed selling and it really broke her out of her shell. She then got offered a great opportunity in supply chain at Target Freight Management and thereafter became addicted to the supply chain industry. When thinking about who her inspiration has been throughout the years, she says that although her family has supported her the most, she considers herself her biggest critic. In her own words, Cassidy said, “I push myself harder than anyone both in my career and my personal life. I am very self-driven and love to set goals for myself and achieve them.”
Cassidy loves Beemac and leading her sales team which is currently composed of 10 sales agents. When asked what she loves the most, she said, “I love my job because everyday is different and always challenging”. She goes on to mention that she loves Beemac because it is a company full of leaders that believe in her and see her value. She also says that this industry has helped her grow in numerous ways and she has learned a lot about herself while fulfilling this role. It gives her the confidence she needs to support her own customers while providing coaching and a mentoring for the members of her team.
Cassidy’s story is important because there is a gender gap in the world of sales and particularly the supply chain industry. Therefore, Cassidy says that she is accustomed to being the “only women in the room” in this type of business. She said, “I make sure that my ideas, opinions, and views are voiced. Sometimes I have to get the ‘mom voice’ out but ultimately I love the industry and being part of it.” When it comes to advice that she has for other women who aspire to be female leaders, she suggests that although it can be intimidating, women should not be afraid and go for any position that they want to be in. In the future, Cassidy hopes to continue to climb up the professional ladder at Beemac while continuing to develop personally and professionally.
